Super Falcons rise in FIFA ranking

The Super Falcons of Nigeria have made it to the top ten in FIFA ranking following their sterling performance at the just concluded Women’s World cup tournament.

The Falcons who were ranked in 40th position before the tournament are the highest ranked team from Africa.

The current ranking is based on their performance during the Women’s World cup.

According to the ranking, Spain, England, Sweden, Australia and Japan are sitting pretty at the top 5 position.

They are followed by France, the Netherlands, Colombia, USA and Nigeria.

Nigeria is followed by Morocco, South Africa and Zambia who are ranked 12th,16th, and 25th respectively on the African continent.
