Funke Akindele makes movie history with “A tribe called Judah”
Funke Akindele’s movie a “A Tribe called Judah” has made history by grossing one billion naira at the box office.
This win puts Akindele popularly known as Jenifa at the forefront as a leading director.
It is the largest opening in Nollywood, the largest opening for a female director ever and the highest grossing Nollywood film.
Akindele’s movie, ‘Omo Ghetto the Saga’ grossed a total of N636 million in 2020, and her 2022 film, ‘Battle on Buka Street’ grossed N668 million.
