Chalya Shagaya, 10 others appointed to head agencies in Arts Culture and Creative Economy Sector

President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of 11 new Chief Executive Officers to head agencies under the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy.

The appointments were contained in a statement signed by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.

The new appointees are Chaliya Shagaya — Director-General, National Institute of Archeology and Museums Studies; Ramatu Abonbo Mohammed — Director-General, National Commission for Museums and Monuments; Tola Akerele — Director-General, National Theatre; Mr. Obi Asika — Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture; Dr. Shaibu Husseini — Director-General, National Films and Video Censors Board; Aisha Adamu Augie — Director-General, Centre for Black and African Arts and Culture; Ahmed Sodangi — Director-General, National Gallery of Art.

Others are Ekpolador-Ebi Koinyan — Chief Conservator, National War Museum; Hajiya Khaltume Bulama Gana — Artistic Director, National Troupe of Nigeria; Ali Nuhu — Managing-Director, Nigerian Film Corporation and Otunba Biodun Ajiboye — Director-General, National Institute for Cultural Orientation.
