Chinua Achebe’s daughter in law Maureen, awarded prestigious Harvard award

The daughter in law of renown novelist Chinua Achebe has been awarded the Brigham and Women’s Hospital 2024 faculty development and diversity award.

Maureen Okam Achebe’s husband Chidi shared the news in a post on LinkedIn.

According to the post, the hospital notified Okam-Achebe of her award in a letter dated July 2, 2024.

The letter reads “The 2024 Faculty Awards designation acknowledges the exceptional achievements of BWH faculty in one or more of the four pillars of academic life; clinical care, research, education, and community service.”
