UNIJOS gets first female SUG president after 35 years

Students at the University of Jos have made history by electing Jane Pwajok Kangyang, a medicine and surgery student, as its first female Students Union President after 35 years.
The first female SUG president of Unijos was Ene Obi who was elected in 1989.
Jane polled 1682 votes, 713 more than the candidate Kiku Roy Magaji, who was her closest challenger who had 969 votes.
Other candidates are Izam Samuel Musa (54 votes), Francis Perembo (118 votes) and Ayuba Chollom Yakubu (24 votes).
