Lagos Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency introduces tech solutions to support survivors

The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) has introduced innovations aimed at improving access for survivors of domestic and sexual violence to get support.

In a statement Adejoke Ladenegan-Oginni Head Public Affairs Unit DSVA, said the two new tech driven solutions are Ask INU (I Need You) which is a WhatsApp-based AI chatbot designed to provide timely, confidential, and accurate information about available support services by sending a message to 08128937058.

The other is a Self-Reporting Tool via the Domestic and Sexual Violence Case Management System (DSVCMS), this can be accessed by lagosdsvcms.org and clicking on the “Report” tab, and survivors and mandated reporters can securely submit key case details. 

This tool according to the statement also allows users to upload crucial evidence, including pictures, audio or video recordings, and medical reports which help in strengthening evidence collection and preservation is a vital step in ensuring swift and effective justice. 

“With these innovations, Lagos State continues to set the pace in the fight against domestic and sexual violence—ensuring survivors receive the support and justice they deserve while actively working to prevent future occurrences and reduce such incidents to the barest minimum,”  the statement added.
